In this installment of Cool Car Apps, we are going to look at what’s out there for those looking to buy a new or used car. There are many different apps out there and they all make the car buying experience just a little easier. You don’t have to be a car expert to get a good deal anymore, and you don’t have to bring your car friends with you to insure that you don’t get ripped off.
Almost everyone who has bought a used car has heard of Kelley Blue Book, well now they have an app that makes looking up cars even easier. You can find the trade in value of your current car, or see if the car you want is selling for a good price. Oftentimes one will do a lot of research on one type of car, only to find it not available, then they’re left flying by the seat of their pants as they look at other makes and models. With this app you can do your research on the fly; if you see something you are interested in, you can look it up right away!
Even if you aren’t using cool car buying apps, when doing your financing at the dealership, there are many online auto calculators that you can access online with your smart phone. This way you can crunch the numbers and make sure that the loan you’re getting is going to be the right one for you. With the dealer throwing so many different numbers in your direction, it’s easy for your brain to become overwhelmed, but if you take the time to input the numbers, you can become more clear on what kind of deal you are getting into.
The auto insurance company. USAA, has come up with another neat app called Auto Circle. This app not only helps you find a dealership that’s selling the type of car that you want at a no haggle price, but it will also help you find financing and help you get insured. Whether you use all the features or just one, it can help enormously with the car buying process.
So if you are going to treat yourself this season, or if you are a benevolent soul who is going to treat someone else, these apps can hopefully make your life a lot easier. As much fun as having a new car is, the process is decidedly not, so now with life’s many time saving gadgets, you will have less stress and enjoy even more.
