So let’s say you love to ride. You and your motorcycle have been all over the country, and you’re looking for a new challenge. Something you can be a part of, but not something that anyone can do. Then you might be just right for the iron butts.
To join this elite group of people, you have to ride 1,000 miles in a 24 hour period. You have a witness see you off and sign the form, and then you save your receipts from your gas stops, that way the date and time are all stamped for your submission. Then you are official, and can get your patch.
The group does lots of rides throughout the year as a group. They too are quite long. There are a number of different events each month both in the US and around the world.
Don’t think that your significant other can get left out. If he or she wants to join you, they can join the club as a rider. Then you both can complain to each other about how much your butts hurt after riding 1000 miles.
Once you’ve submitted your ride and have it approved, then you can also receive your pin number which allows you to buy cool swag that is not offered to the general public. So go ahead, and get those rears sore, and ride off and see the world!
